17th September 2025 – (Hong Kong) This morning at 11.22am, an employee of a gold factory at Fu Hang Industrial Building, 1 Hok Yuen Street East, Hung Hom, reported a heist where approximately 10 individuals stormed the premises around 5am, making off with a haul valued at around HK$57 million in gold bars, bricks, dust, and about HK$20,000 in cash. Authorities arrived at the scene to investigate, launching a probe into the burglary and currently pursuing over 10 male suspects.
Reports indicate that during the incident, the individual reporting the crime and five friends were dining and relaxing at the factory, not paying attention to whether the door was locked. Suddenly, around 10 individuals barged in and conducted a robbery in the room designated for storing gold, making off with a total of 65 kilograms of gold bars, bricks, and dust, with an estimated value of approximately HK$58 million. Additionally, the perpetrators also stole around HK$30,000 in Hong Kong dollars from a cash clip inside the factory. After completing the theft, they escorted all present individuals out, locked the factory door with a chain, and fled the scene. The individual who reported the incident subsequently alerted the owner, who tallied the losses before seeking police assistance. The case is now being handled by the West Kowloon Serious Crime Unit.
